Norm is a very dignified greyhound and likes to lead a simple life with a quiet, predictable routine. Norm loves his naps and will snuggle himself in giant comforters in his kennel. He is very cookie driven and will gladly work for food – if he is reluctant to walk on a rainy day, just give him a cookie for keeping up and he will jog to get by your side. Norm is the dog that came to Becker unable to void all of his urine. He is currently on treatment and has been improving after his neuter. Norm is not out of the woods yet, but he is a very cooperative patient and we all love him very much for his heart. Norm is fabulous on leash. We joke that he is like a Segway scooter – you practically think which way you want to go and he comes right along with you! Norm is also very tolerant and doesn’t even mind wearing his silly, homemade rain snood (cut from a boy’s cotton ski hat). Norm walks very politely with the other greyhounds, but doesn’t like to be approached head-on or have other dogs in his face – this seems to make him uncomfortable and he is not shy to give them a warning to back off. In general he is a polite observer (Norm quietly watches yipping, fluffy dogs walk by as well as chipmunks and cats) and is bound to spend most of his time napping snugly in a comfy bed – and that is just fine by him! If you'd like to adopt Norm, please fill out an adoption application and then bring your entire family by the shelter to meet him.
